Description: Recently acquired by Pitkin County Open Space and Trails in 2024, Snowmass Falls Ranch is a 650-acre parcel that serves as a gateway to the Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness. The area has over a century of ranching history as well as valuable wildlife habitat and stunning scenery. In its transition to public land, a key objective is the removal of biennial noxious weeds and the spreading of native seeds in order to restore the native plant community. Come help us restore this beautiful, wilderness-adjacent property for the third year in a row.

Registration: All participants of all ages must be registered individually.

Waiver: All participants must complete a waiver.

Cancellation: It takes a lot of staff and project partner time to plan and organize volunteer events. If you need to cancel, we ask that you let us know by emailing info@rfov.org 48 hours in advance so we can plan accordingly.

Worksite Location: This project will take place at worksites up to 1 mile away from the parking area and will require volunteers to traverse over densely vegetated and marshy terrain.
