Description: The Lost Man Loop is one of the most highly trafficked and pristine backpacking loops off of Independence Pass, and its remote trails are always in need of maintenance from dedicated volunteers. Join RFOV and Independence Pass Foundation for a weekend (Friday evening - Sunday evening) of stewardship on high alpine trails. RFOV will provide breakfasts and dinners, and if there's any personal backpacking gear items you don't have, we can work with you to find the gear needed. Space is limited and a $75 deposit (refunded upon completion) is required for all participants!

Worksite Location: This project will take palce at worksites between 4 and 6 miles away from the parking lot over steep and rocky single track trail. Volunteers will be required to backpack into the campsite which is 4 miles in from the parking lot. Additional hiking to worksites of up to 2 miles away from the campsite will also be required.

Registration: All participants of all ages must be registered individually.

Deposit: $75, due at registration. Your deposit will be refunded upon completion of the project, or with a cancellation two weeks prior to the project date.

Waiver: All participants must complete a waiver.

Cancellation: It takes a lot of staff and project partner time to plan and organize volunteer events. If you need to cancel, we ask that you let us know by emailing info@rfov.org two weeks in advance so we can plan accordingly and notify someone on the waitlist.
