Join the Independence Pass Foundation to remove debris and non-historical portions of a mining era cabin from a parcel of land which will soon be transferred to the USFS for permanent wilderness protection. Removing all non-historical items on the property is necessary to secure wilderness designation.
Because the site is surrounded by designated Wilderness, everything will need to be removed by hand, which means we will need a lot of hands!
Schedule: Volunteer opportunities will be from 9am to 3pm on Thursday, August 12th and Friday, August 13th. Although the project runs for two days, it will not be an overnight trip.
