Best Green Organization in the Valley!

We’re honored to share that RFOV was voted the Best Green Business/Organization in the Roaring Fork Valley! And we couldn’t be more grateful. This recognition feels especially meaningful because it comes from the community we work alongside every day: the people who care for these landscapes, who show up with open hearts and muddy boots, and who believe in the power of stewardship.

Thank you for voting, supporting, volunteering, spreading the word, and being part of this growing movement. RFOV’s impact has always been a collective effort, and this award is a reflection of everything you make possible.

And if you’re new here, welcome—we’d love to have you join us in the seasons ahead! There’s plenty of meaningful, fun, and satisfying work to go around!

Trail Work, Teamwork, and Canyon Walls

Youth in Nature’s third session of the season was one for the books! Students headed west for a full day of stewardship and adventure, from hauling gravel at James M. Robb State Park to exploring slot canyons in Colorado National Monument.

Students worked with the Park Ranger on the service project: completing work begun by a local Eagle Scout to formalize a developing social trail along the river.

They rotated between shoveling gravel, pushing heavy wheelbarrows, and spreading the gravel over the trail. It was hard work, but their teamwork, laughter, and spirit made it fly by. In the afternoon, Glenwood Climbing Guides led the group through narrow chimneys and the famous “Lemon Squeezer.” Three students who started the day afraid of heights completed the entire route with huge smiles! One student shared, “It was cool to complete something that felt scary at the beginning of the day, but now feels totally worth it”.  These moments are why Youth in Nature exists—to build confidence, connection, and the next generation of stewards.

Countdown to Colorado Gives Day

We’re a few days away from Colorado’s biggest giving day of the year! Every gift to RFOV—big or small—fuels stewardship in the Roaring Fork Valley. And if donating isn’t in the cards this season, sharing our Colorado Gives Day page with your circle is an incredible way to support the work.
Thank you to everyone who has donated this giving season! So far through early giving, we’ve raised over $11,000 through Colorado Gives. Let’s keep up the momentum!
