Description: Have you always wanted to car camp in the Maroon Bells Scenic area but have never been able to snag a permit? Join RFOV for a weekend (Friday evening - Sunday evening) of car camping and trail maintenance in this iconic Colorado viewshed. In partnership with the USFS and RFOV's professional trail crew, volunteers will complete projects on the trails between Maroon and Crater Lakes. Delicious dinners and breakfasts will be cheffed-up by RFOV staff for all volunteers! Space is limited and a $75 deposit (refunded upon completion) is required for all participants!
Registration: All participants of all ages must be registered individually.
Waiver: All participants must complete a waiver.
Cancellation: It takes a lot of staff and project partner time to plan and organize volunteer events. If you need to cancel, we ask that you let us know by emailing info@rfov.org 48 hours in advance so we can plan accordingly.
Worksite Location: This project will take place at worksites between 0.25 and 2 miles away from the parking lot that will require volunters to traverse over steep and rocky single track trails.
