Four Pass Loop Backpacking Overnight

Sustainable Recreation

Overnight

Physically Strenuous

There's a reason that the Four Pass Loop is one of Colorado's most visited backpacking routes. This year, RFOV volunteers will access this beautiful Loop through the East Fork Trailhead and spend four days caring for the segment of this well-loved trail system between West Maroon pass and Frigid Air pass along with our professional trail crew. RFOV will provide breakfasts and dinners, and if there's any personal backpacking gear items you don't have, we can work with you to find the gear needed. Space is limited and a $75 deposit (refunded upon completion) is required for all participants!

Registration: All participants of all ages must be registered individually.

Deposit: $75, due at registration (below). Your deposit will be refunded upon completion of the project, or with a cancellation two weeks prior to the project.

Waiver: All participants must complete a waiver.

Cancellation: It takes a lot of staff and project partner time to plan and organize volunteer events. If you need to cancel, we ask that you let us know by emailing info@rfov.org two weeks in advance (July 31st) so we can plan accordingly and notify someone on the waitlist.

Worksite location: This project will take palce at worksites between 3.25 and 4.5 miles away from the parking lot over steep and rocky single track trail. Volunteers will be required to backpack into the campsite which is 3.25 miles in from the parking lot. Additional hiking to worksites of up to 1.25 miles away from the campsite will also be required.
