Description: Have you ever wondered, "what is this extremely spiky plant in my yard and how do I get rid of it???" If so, RFOV formally invites you to come learn from several vegetation experts in our Invasive Species Identification and Management Training! Participants will learn how to identify common noxious weeds and invasive plants in our area, and how and when to best remove them so that they dont come back! This training will include a classroom and a field portion on May 18th from 9:00am - 2:00pm at the Glenwood Springs Recreation Center and South Canyon.
Time: This training will take place from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm on September 3rd and from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm on September 4th.
Registration: All participants of all ages must be registered individually.
Waiver: All participants must complete a waiver.
Cancellation: It takes a lot of staff and project partner time to plan and organize volunteer events. If you need to cancel, we ask that you let us know by emailing info@rfov.org 48 hours in advance so we can plan accordingly.
Worksite Location: This training will take place at the Glenwood Springs Recreation Center and within South Canyon and at sites that are between .25 and 1 mile from the parking lot and will require volunteers to traverse over steep, rocky, uneven, and densely vegetated terrain.
