Description: With support from Roaring Fork Outdoor Coalition and in partnership with the Town of Carbondale, RFOV is excited to offer a special pop-up project along the Crystal River — and this one's for our plant enthusiasts.
The Town of Carbondale has built fenced test plots at Riverfront Park to study riparian plant management, and they're propagating desired native species right alongside invasives that need to go. That means this project calls for volunteers with some plant ID background who can tell the difference and remove with precision. Spend a beautiful September evening along the river, put your plant ID skills to real use, and help protect the native species this habitat depends on.
Nearest Town: Carbondale, CO
Registration: All participants of all ages must be registered individually.
Waiver: All participants must complete a waiver.
Cancellation: It takes a lot of staff and project partner time to plan and organize volunteer events. If you need to cancel, we ask that you let us know by emailing info@rfov.org 48 hours in advance so we can plan accordingly.
