Pitkin County Open Space and Trails recently adopted a management plan to guide the future of the Coke Ovens Open Space. While some of this property continues to support horses and Western heritage activities, many areas contain old and unnecessary fencing. Join us near the small town of Redstone to help improve wildlife mobility and access to Coal Creek by removing barbed wire from this beautiful property.
Registration: All participants of all ages must be registered individually.
Waiver: All participants must complete a waiver.
Cancellation: It takes a lot of staff and project partner time to plan and organize volunteer events. If you need to cancel, we ask that you let us know by emailing info@rfov.org 48 hours in advance so we can plan accordingly.
Worksite Location: Up to 0.75 miles from trailhead over flat, wooded terrain.
