American Lake Trail Aspen • Saturday, August 7
The American Lake Trail is one of the most popular Forest Service Trails in the Aspen area for several reasons including its proximity to town and that
in a relatively short distance (3.20 miles one way) to hike in to experience a beautiful alpine lake situated in the Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness

Raspberry Creek Loop Trail
Marble • Saturday, September 11
This 9 mile long trail is a moderate to difficult one day hike that is surprisingly popular considering its remote location. Hikers and equestrians are
rewarded with stunning views as they climb 3,100' up through the Raggeds Wilderness Area to Anthracite Pass and back down into Marble. The top
priority is to tackle some long-deferred trail reconstruction work on the east leg of the loop. This trail section has become entrenched and volunteers
will build dip/waterbar structures, checkdams and short reroutes. The second priority is the Raspberry Creek side which is severely overgrown and
eroding in several sections. PARTNERS: Forest Service
Hanging Lake Trail

rock walls, install rock steps and drainage structures. PARTNERS: Forest Service, Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado, National Forest Foundation Ski Conservation Fund, Hot Springs Lodge & Pool, Valley View Hospital Foundation
